Loyalty

He was charismatic,
brilliant in communication,
and sexy as hell.

Sometimes I would just sit
and watch his lips move,
hanging on every word he’d say.

He knew what love was,
understood romance,
and lived passionately.

Laughter and conversation
surrounded him everywhere he went,
pushing him to the center of attention.

People enjoyed him so much
you would have thought he was happy.

But he was worse than alone.
He was lonely
knowing no one would get too close.

In spite of all he knew
about romance and charisma,
he was an idiot

when it came to loyalty.
